I'm a writer, artist, and game designer based in Brooklyn. I make comics and games, and I'm primarily focused on stories in and around nature. (I'm secondarily focused on humorous observations and jokes about things like city rats and NYC storefronts.)
My work has appeared in the New Yorker, the Washington Post, Vox, The Rumpus, and more. My interactive fiction game "the mountain" won an IFDB Award and was nominated for a Debug Indie Game Award. Some examples of topics I've explored in my work are traveling America by train, forgetting and remembering, envious birdwatching, eels, and finding small joys during dark times. I hold a B.A. from Yale University. I am currently pursuing my MFA at the NYU Game Center, where I received the Barlovento Scholarship. You can reach me at chrxmi (at) gmail (dot) com. |
